Tips for +8 Weapon/Armor?

Hello! i was just wondering if you got any tips for me with +8 armor/weapon, because i fail a lot and waste gold :mad:

As he said, there's no way to enhance your chance of success on upgrading.
Just don't upgrade your stuff, when you have a bad day. ;)
