not sure if anyone is aware of this or has seen this on youtube. But you can get a pet ember to fight with out that does not have a timer on it, unless it dies it will stay with you.

As well you can go to Malchor and spawn him there at lvl 80 and then warp elsewhere to lower level area and he will keep the same lvl :).

However if he is not there you must complete the two events for him to open his merchant shop.

ok for those that cant see the pic. He will not be there if the events have not been finished.

Due east of the merchant spot you will find the event npc (get the name later) either under water dead trying to repair some oil refineries or on land dead near the veteran tar elemental spawn. You HAVE TO finish the events for him to show.

Everytime I port he is gone. So I think this is useless.

lol, dont worry man its already been posted everywhere. And it is intended to be that way, my understanding is the only nerf it will get is the lvl issue. But Anet is already aware of that.

Still funny though, people always asking "where did you get that pet" x_X i must be the only one who listens and follows events lol.

But let's talk about that they keep their level if u port. As said if I port the pet disappears. So what?

the level seems to have been patched aswell as the fact that he doesn't port with you. Now spawns as the same level as you, well it does for me

But there wasn't a patch since he posted that.

it's called on-demand-patch .. or background patch .. there is no need for a "big patch" , small fixes are gonna apply while you playin'

We ran CoF a couple times taking option and the the embers really did a great job dishing out the dps. Five people with five embers, spamming 3 eruptions each can net, 5k + dps a second. Pretty nice

so this vendor still sells those pets?
and if i buy one and it dies it will revive like the ranger pets (so thats why the thread is named permanent pet, i guess ^^)?

Edit: Okay i tested it. if it dies it cant be revived. But nice though ^^
