Application
Age:
23, Occupation - Student, Sport Science & Education.
What is the reason for your application?
Keep the section clean, close virus threads that seem to be popping up more often, sticky important threads, general help out with the community, etc
I think we could also use a Hacking/Coding section under GuildWars 2 where people could discuss and share code and hacking techniques. The conquer online community has such a section and it's thriving and is a great knowledge base there. I think guildwars 2 would benefit from something similar.
Experience with the subject:
I have played Guild Wars since the public betas so I am knowledgeable about the game, I have also been reverse engineering the client and coding things for it for about the same amount of time, this knowledge also means that I can extensively check any releases beyond just a virustotal scan, which aren't always effective if the code is undetectable.
I think as the community grows there we are going to need a few moderators to keep things in check so I would like to take on the position.
Are you mentally prepared and fitting for such a position?
How do you see yourself?
I think it is hard to describe ones own mental state but yes I consider myself to be mature, patient and helpful in areas where I have the relevant knowledge.
Can you handle questions which seem to be stupid?
Yes, everyone starts somewhere so it's not unreasonable to be unsure of something whatever the subject and the general level of knowledge in the community.
How about your knowledge of people in general?
I try not to assume anything about anyone, but I've been a part of this forum long enough to see many different types of people and personality's, both good and bad. As long as the community gets along and interacts with one another in a positive manner, then that's great.
Experience as a moderator
Previous experience as moderator on elitepvpers in the ZeroOnline section. I am no longer a moderator there due to having a period of inactivity when I started University, but did enjoy the position and helping out the community.
