Hey,
i am Tim and i know that there are lots of threads where a guys ask which is the best Ship for him.... so I wanted to make a thread showing the advantages and disadvantages of each ship, and that is the result:
Vengeance
The Veangeance is good ship for player which started an new account and want to hunt the noobies on the starter maps, because it got 10 more speed than an goliath. I know, if an full elite goliath will attack you, you will destroid nearly everytime, but when you use EMP and a Cloak you will get unscathed to the gate, and if you got also the Lightning Design, then you are the "Ultimate Noobie Destroyer" !
Goliath
The Goliath is the real ship for fighting, with its 15 Laser Slots its the best ship for fighting in PVP and on starter maps. And if you also got special designs like Spectrum or Sentinel, you are an "FIGHTING MACHINE" !
Aegis
The Aegis is one of the newer ships, it got the repair skills which are usefull for gates and for PVP when you fight against low players (no Lf4 and Apis, Zeus ....), but it is only usefull in groups in REAL Canwars ..., because if you use the Repair Skills in a 1 vs 1 with good players, you have no chance. Only with best equipment you have a chance as "THE MEDIC ON THE BATTLEFIELD" !
Citadel
At least the Citadel, it is a really strong ship on the maps if it is full BO2, it is also usefull for gates and for hunting on low maps because of the 2 rocketlauncher which could fire the rockets at the same time (but dont reload on the same time). You could also use it for PVP but it is only usefull in a outfit of min. 3 players. "The real tank" !
Designs:
Solace
The Solace got a good skill for shooting cubikons and make gates. It repairs 50% of your hitpoints and 25% hitpoints of members in a outfits, in my opinion, it is only usefull in an outfit. (for all maps, 10% shield bonus)
Diminisher
The Diminisher is the best skill design for damage on the battlemaps, because you make 50% more Damgae on shield, but i could be blocked with shields backup. (for battlemaps, 5% damage bonus, 1 minute)
Spectrum
The Spectrum is the best skill design for battlemaps (in addition of the Sentinel) because of its special skill called "Prismatic Shielding". Your damage will reduced by 50%, but the enemys damage wil reduced by 80%. (for battlemaps, 10% more shield, 30 seconds)
Sentinel
The Sentinel is also good for battlemaps, because the skill gives you 30% more shield, but makes you a little bit slower (for battlemaps, 10% more shield, 2 minutes)
Venom
The Venom is on my opinion the worst skill design for fighting, but good for Aliens, because the skill which attacks the locked enemies hitpoints could be blocked with EMP or an jump throw an gate. (for shooting Aliens, 5% more damage, to death)
Lightning
The Lightning (for Vengeance) is good for fleeing from enemies, because it makes you 30% faster. (for all maps, 5% more damage, 5 seconds)
Please don`t forget, all these skills (of designs) got an cooldown of 15 minutes
