Nobody knows.. I doubt even HS Knows..

Because everyone will eventually be switching to Windows 8 Sometime in the near future.. My brother owns an action pack and the product keys he has for Windows 7 EXPIRE In April 2013 Because Microsoft want him to switch over to Windows 8

Support for Windows 8 Will be made.. Once the world switches over to Windows 8

Hope you understand all of that garbage :p

Why would you downgrade to Win8 ? Stick to Win7. Much better OS.

I'M STUPID? Wait. downgrade TO win8... I thought downgrade is 8->7, not the opposite one.

It's a bit of an in-joke to describe when something that is newer (and supposedly better) is worse than the product it's supposed to replace.

E.g.

Win98 SE > Win ME
Win XP > Win Vista
Win 7 > Win 8

First two are somewhat correct, but last one isn't. Everyone in IT will readily agree that Win8 beats Win7, as it is simply a refinement of the core with quite a few (and quite nice) features.

It's Microsoft's imbecilic idea to stick "the UI formerly known as Metro" instead of a regular "win style desktop" that's gonna kill 8.

notes:

WinME was a sad casualty of stupidity, as it was basically "Win98SE improved", but M$ decided it was a good idea to shove stuff into it that barelly worked decently under a much later NT based XP, nvm a DOS based OS. So much so, almost none of it was backported to W2k and had to wait till XP to be thought of as "stable enough" to find it's way into the "business OS"

Vista was a casualty of delivery date pressure. The original Longhorn specs were making it later and later for release, and M$ had to dump it "as was", basically by stripping out stuff and by accepting way too much stuff as "good enough". End result is as we all know. Years later you get W7 which is basically Vista core/UI but with the years of polish they couldn't afford back then.

I'm only linking that as an example. I've tried Win8 myself and I felt like "a user" feeling my way in the dark. Agree with the UI. It just doesn't work with a keyboard and mouse. Maybe once we get those holographic screens like in "Minority Report" then things will be different.

Roll on Windows 15. :D

If you read the article, and i mean READ, it's just as i put it. 100% bashing "the interface formerly known as Metro". People have no idea if Win8 (the OS) sucks because they feel (and quite right) that Win8 UI sucks.

Sometimes they forget users decide on "user experience" and not technical merit. In this case, they forgot that while the "Start menu paradigm" isn't perfect, or even good, at least it gets out of your way. Change to something that isn't perfect, isn't good and gets in your way? No tyvm...

Funny thing is, M$ already had the "Ribbon experience" and how much it cost them in users that switched suite or plain didn't upgrade to 2k3/2k7/2k10. Then they go and do it again...
