[QUESTION] Whyyyyyyyyyy?????

You know, I was talking to a friend about LPH shaiya data file tool, and we came to the conclusion. Why the hell isnt there a function to import an entire folder?

It would be an amazing function, would it be possible to make that a possibility?

Because I as of current I know no other way to import multiple files to my data.sah>characters.

Also sorry for lack of information in the beginning, but the point of this post is my dev and I are wanting to import new character DDS 3DC ANI etc files. But there are so many that it would take too long, even for him who is very fast at making edits.

u can import a full data folder. well u need ofc an extracted version of the data.sah
there u make all changes u wish then u open the data.sah of the server again. Click on "FIle" -> "Build data from folder" and select the whole "data" folder where everything is in. then that awsome program makes a new data.sah and data.saf in the folder output ( of in the folder of that programm) just take the new data.sah+ saf and put it in ur client and ur done ( like that u dont need to import any single file by itself)

Though what Teddy said is right i don't think it's what he was looking for.
It would be nice if we didnt have to build the whole data.sah, it takes so long :(
Another thing that is a wee bit annoying is how it restarts the list.

mh for me it isnt taking long tbh to build that but the annoying part is if u do it like that ppl have to re dl the client but i dont think LPH is working on his tool or he wont release it anymore if he has worked on it so we just have to take it like it is and personally i can work with that tool very well.

My opinion is that making a Shaiya server aint for everyone, and it aint going to be easy. Allways getting the easy, and time saving solution will just create far more noobs as server owners. I think LPH's tool is brilliant, just how it is... And rebuilding the data files doesn't take that long, it's just a matter of minutes. Go shower while it's building, problem solved. LPH did a super job with that tool.
