The Objective:
To win the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Tournament
The post before me about winning the fishing tournament 98% of the time got me to refreshing my memory about the tournament. It would be I and four other guildies in a group. Four of the group members would stay in booty bay and keep anybody away from turning in the fish to win.
How It Is Done:
The person wanting to win the tournament fishes regularly like they usually do. The secret to this trick is to have the four people in booty bay make sure nobody gets near the npc to turn in the fish. If it is an oppisite faction just kill them like normal. Given that all the group members are level 80 with one healer you should be able to kill the guards that attack. All you have to do is get the person into combat and they are not allowed to turn in the quest for the fish. Now the tricky part, if it is part of your faction. What we always did was have atleast one to two people in our group that had the mammoth mount. And just like what people do with the mailbox: cover the npc with the mammoths. This should be good enough for the person not to turn in the quest.
Also be sure that the person fishing has a nice route going on so they can get the fourty they need ASAP!
Good Luck on trying out this neat little trick. We did this with 15 of our guildies and all 15 were able to win the tournament on their first times.
