ur best bet, would be to read all the stickies/tutorials here, then start ur server best u can, and mess it up, fix it, repeat. i cant stress the importance of trial and error enough, the amount you will learn just by trial and error will make most of everything here obsolete.
at least then you will be able to weed out the ppl who know what they are doing from the ones that do not.
