[Guide] Setting up SSE Server v4.2+ For Beginners

Things you need before reading further.
Which OS it can run on :
  • Windows 8 (Yes)
  • Windows 7 (Yes)
  • Windows Vista (Yes)
  • Windows XP (SP2) (Yes)
  • Windows server 2003 (Yes)
  • Windows server 2008 (Yes)
  • Linux (No)
  • Mac (No)

When you finish downloading, extract the sse server rar and it should look something like this.

Go to Server folder then into Login Server and open Servers.ini, Edit the name (server-name) and the ip for example 192.168.0.1.

Then go back into game server folder and edit config.ini, here you can edit your servers rates and automated notice.

If you haven't installed the client yet install it now.

Now go back to the main folder and open IP & Version Changer, then locate the client you just installed.

After you located your client remove the old ip and add yours in.

Now we have everything ready and we can start the server go ahead and open the login-server shortcut, but make sure you run it as admin.

After launching login-server with no errors go ahead and open the game-server,The game-server will take a while to load all of the data.

Now we go back to the launched login-server and follow these steps.

Go to the launched game server and follow these steps, if you want to enabled gm making items and spawning mobs tick both of the boxes.

Now your server is working we can make a account, open the Account Creator and type your logins and your ip you used for the server.

After you successfully created your account go ahead and open the loader shortcut, make sure you tick NOP Hackshield and Multiclient.

  • If your not familiar with Being a gm there is a gm helper inside.
  • I will improve this guide over time :)

i use loader ... but same error ...try to edit version ...same error i run server with compatibility xp sp2 - sp3 or 7 same ....probable unsuported on windows 8

man go in ip changer and change port ( 265 to 165 ) and work :D

That loader dont work... + I need to write my static ip somewere ?
