[Release] Item Identifier (on ground)

RELEASE: for patch 5637 (output files only)

WHAT IM WORKING ON:
im working on a tool to automate the alteration on the necessary files to easily identify refined/unique/elite/super items when its on the ground

WHAT I HAVE SO FAR:
weapons & gears should be about 744 for each quality, i took the list from their website so im guessing thats about it, gems are also included

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED YET:
meteor, dragonball and tokens, i haven't played CO2 for sometime now and im not familiar with the new items, do let me know if you wish to include something

WHAT WONT HAPPEN:
+1s, socket, blessed and the likes are not visible when its on the ground, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ASKING

GUESS WHAT, I NEED TESTERS:
been a very long time since i last played so my CO2 account is somewhat poor so i have limited number of items to drop and test, i need some feedback on this from anyone who might want to try it out, do let me know if some items are not showing as its supposed to

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. backup your ani\MapItemIcon.ani file
2. simply extract to your CO2 installation folder

NOTE:
will be releasing the tool as soon as i feel confident on its result, for now, i will be updating the attachments for every patch that needs it, have fun!

Tested just with 2 gems (viole and fury appears) and with 8 refine and unique items and just one appears.

what is this?

The only items that can be identified from the ground are weapons.

Not only weapons lol, you can see the quality of armor and much more.
The only thing you cannot see are +gears.

did you have a aimbot?

still working with the latest 5700 patch

only for refined weapons it's ok, and a lot of items this hack showed me are elite are normal.

This is a decent little identifier, showed me refineds and gems right off ... havent found any others to say if the rest of the qualities work. here are the issues ive seen so far:

Fixed items show as Elite
Normal StarTower shows as Super
Normal HeavenFan shows as Super

The Non-Issues:
Refined Weapons and Armor Show up fine
Unique Weapons and armor show
Elite Weapons and Armor Show
Quest items still show just not as the item? (has the name but the picture isnt there until its in your inv.)
Gems Show Fine
Believe it or not .... this Shows +1's !!! item will appear on the ground as so: ItemName(+1)


Nothing i cant overlook but could get quite confusing ... If i knew how to change them id do it myself ... but im not that smart yet xD
Ill update any other issues or non issues i find as i find them.

I would really like to know how to view these files, I am interested in learning how to make these, anyone know of a good program for viewing and editing .ani and .dds?

Gimp or photoshop... just get the plugins lol

best app for windows 7 is....

it integrates into windows and allows you to see thumbnails in folder likes regular images

False.

Tq does not send the quality of equipment when they drop on the ground from monsters.

Only will work on weapons on the ground but will work for items dropped by players still.

Useful tool but he's 100 percent correct that it only works for weapons.

These edits have existed for years and I've yet to see a single report of tq banning for them. It's possible but highly, highly unlikely.
