Here is a tip for all you would be hackers out there. DON'T mess around with shit u don't fully understand. Co servers as most mmog are linked somewhat, which means If u mess them up you could screw it for the rest off us. also as a "COMPANY" out there to make money they have people who make sure all activity that's abnormal is recorded. Whats that means. It means if you mess with them u might have Your local Police force smashing in your front door to arrest you For internet illegal activities which does happen. So Please no nubs mess around with them. any poking around u might do may seem harmless but may lead to your dismal or the whole community suffering from massive lags.

They're really fast and are located in California. =O

edit: And they seem to be hosted by this Data Center: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Look through the data center they are hosted at.
They will probably state if they support firewalls/antiviruses, and which ones.

Looks like their Servers support these Security Features:

Quote:
* Fortinet Hardware Firewall
* 100 Mbps Internet traffic throughput
* Unlimited IP addresses in a trusted interface
* 100,000 concurrent sessions
* Gateway AntiVirus / AntiSpyware / AntiMalware
* Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)
* Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Heres note for thought, since i believe you're attempting something just as big as i am.

-Try to do it yourself, chance has it, since TQ is a company they have over 8,000 (at the VERY least) of computer equipment. Its probably one main computer thats hooked up to other computers using a "Dumb Device" and it feeds data from various files to do who knows what.
(note thats just a theory, i have no full knowledge of this, im going off the basic set up of a game making company, i've seen this method used while "Building" a game, so why not while "hosting")

anyways, as for gear, may i suggest that if you have the extra-extra-EXTRA cash, get top of the line everything.

I would suggest a toshiba... wait do they have desktops?... anyways, if they do not, i suggest still getting the laptop cuz they're so pwnage, but get an alienware desktop or the new xps gamer's desktop(think thats the name)

yea and use that directly for hosting ONLY, dont download crap on, no porn, no other games, nothing! not even msn live. (EXCEPT WHAT I'LL SAY LATER)

after that i suggest linksys router and modem, newest model, find one that'll support a good number of ports as well.
-
uhh if you need to i suggest getting a usb hub, and connecting some portable HDs between computers and share files directly,

this will cut down on virus related risks from downloads, just make sure you do the connections properly so not to corrupt data.
---------
For security, (remember when i said not to download anything except for one exception?)

Download the top 5, no matter how shitty they may be for detecting EVERYTHING. thats exactly what you need =3.

i would suggest, getting them (even cracked version for pay programs) and set them up to NOT detect the files you want to stay unmarked.
-----------

This is the easiest non professional way of doing this "IN MY OPINION". Want to be professional, then be my guest to get a team you have to pay every 2 weeks and continue paying every month for a service thats just as good some other things, and buy those HUGE ass server board things.

hope this has given some insight, and if you're wondering "is zane doing this?" I am and im not. Theres a slight more details that im doing =) but i've giving you my 1st best plan ^^
