Question

Hello I am wondering how can we avoid copyright infrigements about runnng a server ? They can shut us down when they want ? Why they dont just do it ?

You cant really avoid copyright infringements because Shaiya private servers is still Aeria Games concept's but i think they don't do anything about it because they still get a massive player base and income from the OS because if they did not have such a large player base then i think they would chase the private servers down more. Also there are that many private servers out there now it would cost them alot of legal fees themselves to take each one to court lol .

As Raki said you can't get away from it.
Good thing is is that Aeria isn't coming for us anymore.
Reasons why you shouldn't care:
1. Not one pserver is worth shutting down as it takes barely any players away.
2. Aeria has lots of games so this is it's last problem.
3. Aeria is partnered with other companies and is in fact owned by another company so it's that companies decision and they have even more to take care of.

All i can suggest is try to be imaginative with your server and be creative and original.

You're using there database, there leaked files, and there images/graphics. You can't avoid this excepte by getting a license, (lots of legal and money) or making your own game.
