Editing systemmsg-e.dat for C4

Just want to edit the message colors in old C4, dlled LineAge Utils 1.6.8 which doesnt support older chronicles. Which version should I use? Or any suggestion for other tools with interface for noobs? :p

so Ive been testing this editing tool but when I try to mod my C4 systemmsg-e.dat with systemmsg-e.ddf from the Alternate DDF files for C4 I get this error msg:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Anyone got an idea how to resolve it? The former systemmsg-e.dat that was included with this tool works just fine, but it is for CT1 as refered in the Instructions.txt.

Version1.4 is used for L2 C4
-Modifies the colour simple and system messages!
-Marks agressive/normal mobs with special colours and each mob has it's own colour!
-Zoom mode is now as much as you want!
-Enables hidden camera(now you can see through walls)
-You can see now so far the enviroment and the mobs without slowing down your PC!
-Increase of the rotate of the mouse!(and camera)
-The Graphics become even better.(if you have over 512mb at your pc with this the world loads very fast!)
-Enables the option called "Focus at Centre" (with jsut a single click of right mouse button)
-Disables the filtering of the world
-Corrects the Gamma/sound/mouse settings as you want them
-Has a craft calculation!
-Has backup files if you make a change
