Gems?

So I started playing CO about 6 years ago, and I left for Army duty for 2 years, and when I get back there are WAY too many changes, I don't like it. But my question is, how the hell do I get gems? I have been in the mine for a week straight, and got nothing but ore... People say you have to kill mobs. and that is just gay, what if i want Ref or Super gems?

They changed the "drop"-rate for Gems in mines, its damn low now..
Yes, mobs drop normal gems now, and normal gems only! You can make 1 Ref gem with 15 normal gems, also 1 sup gem for 15 ref games, there is a NPC, I think he's called Jeweler or something and is near the VP-NPC.
