1. Account
First of all you will need a Korean Nexon account, there is a site which offers verified accounts or you could buy an account from a user on elitepvpers (like i did). You can make your own account but keep in mind that it's illegal to steal/take a KSSN (Korean social number). The account has to be at least 15+ (but you won't see any blood if the account isn't 18+).
2. Homepage
That's how the main-page of Mabinogi Heroes (Vindictus KR) should look like:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
You can see the login on the top left of this page.
That's where you will have to fill in your account information (ID & Password) to be able to start the game because you can only start Vindictus KR through the homepage, there is no way around it.
Here is a short description of the different servers:

3. Download
Downloading the client via a download manager will save you a lot of time.

4. Installation
I recommend to install the game in the default folder, it doesn't work for me otherwise. The installation will stop at 50% and you will need to login at the homepage to click on the desired server button to update the game.

You can only update the test server client via the test server button but you can update the "normal" game client to XE or Premiere.
5. Language Patch
Download the attachment KR-EN Patch is a bit outdated since it was made for the Kai update but it will translate the most important parts of the game.
I haven't tried the Bella translation provided by the User [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] but it might be worth a try too.
You will have to extract the resource folder into your Heroes-Test folder or into you KR-CO folder to apply the language change.
6. Connection (Proxy / VPN)
You will need to connect to the game with a Korean IP otherwise it won't work. To use a proxy you are going to need a proxy program such as proxycap/proxyfirewall/proxifier and a working korean proxy.
It's quite hard to find working Korean proxies (for free) but you can always pay for a VPN (I couldn't find any free-to-use Korean VPN).
I recommend [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], they offer various servers (not only Korean, also Chinese/Taiwan/America/Russia/Great Britain) and the connect is fast enough to have a decent game experience.
You can try their service for 20 minutes (3 times per day) by using the trial Account: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Here is a voucher to get 20% discount on your purchase: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
7. Starting the game & playing
First of all you will need to change your location/timezone to Korea otherwise the (test) server won't start.

Now start the game from the homepage, hackshield will try to patch, don't worry it will fail a few times until it's finally patched.
That's it for now but I might add an English "Patch" to translate ~70% of the game.
