you are partially correct but to make a statement that it would never be possible is totally assanine infact there has been a program like this for other games such as the ever popular Star Wars Galaxies but do to these hacks being out MOST games had changed the coding on the way drops were made but yes i do agree with it not being possible on CO considering how easy it is to put in a randomized drop table on time of kill but, it is an outrage to say that this could never be possible because you have been proved otherwise by other games :)Quote:
No it won't ever be possible. Monsters drop items randomly, they don't spawn with a specified item ready to drop.
yes you are correct that would be the most logical way to code an item drop but however not all games have been coded in such a way, as i said before people used it in SWG to see what the krayt dragons would drop to eaisly find the krayt pearls but yes you are correct in this game it detects it after it was killed. Maybe next time read and understand how some other games have been coded in the past and realize they are not all the sameQuote:
What an item is, is known to the client once the item is dropped, there isn't any information in the client nor will the server send any before that happens.
