How do i use or open .bak files so i can add them to mysql database?

fist, is for MSSQL not mysql
second, MSSQL can open it via the restore database function
i suggest you to use mssql 2008 to avoid any compatibility issues

Ok thanks i was using MSSQL 2005

2005 works sometimes
some db are just for the 2008 version
that's why its advised

Its a backed up database, hence the .Bak file extension. You need to restore the database in MSSQL. Really simple
