well i dont know if the renamer doesn't work with sp1 (service pack 1) for sure... i have seen some ppl complaining it didn't work with vista but i have been using vista home premium for a year and the renamer worked just fine until a few days ago i update my "usual" home premium to home premium service pack 1

well it's easy to just change the OS but i think that's a bit much to downgrade it just so one programme can work

u can use this trick to open multiple Element Clients directly, without launcher:

right click on the shortcut, go to properties, point 'target' to elementclient.exe (location might vary), add game:cpw outside of quotation marks. should look similar to the following -

"C:/Program Files/Games/Perfect World/element/elementclient.exe" game:cpw

note: i changed the 'start in' location too, to match... don't know if that's needed.

u can use this trick to change the names of the open Element Clients:

get a game renamer program, then right click the shortcut, go into properties/compatability, and tell windows to 'run the program as an administrator' (this worked for me in Win7).

RIGHTKLICK AND "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR"

this works

hi, i also downloaded game renamer and am trying to use it to rename my game and open multiple clients. i opened game renamer as administator and typed "elementclient.exe" into the old client name, and "pw.exe" into the new name.n it says unable to find game. What can i do to fix this?

i'm using windows seven.

EDIT: I tried typing in "Perfect World International" into old client name. It doesn't say game not found when i do that, but it doesn' change the name either. so still not working.

You don't need to rename the client for multiple pwi clients anymore. Simply run elementclient.exe instead of the patcher.

But this can dedect the GMs. They can dedect if you run direct elementclient or through the Launcher. But until now I don't know the parameters that the Launcher send to the elementclient.exe

Maybe simple start elementclient as administrator help? or the written game:cpw?
