FINAL Questions

Okay , i have everything done. GM account made. The machine i have sever files open on are my laptop.

I have studio 2008 r2 with database opened.

i have everything opened.

On my other laptop i am using edxsilkroadloader 6 i open it i find my sro folder i select silkroad launcher i select it i set redirect gateway sever to my ip and port 15779 and nothing happens just get that error with the symbols and the (9) at the end some like a3291xn(9) idk but yeah some error

so what did i do wrong? here are some screenies from both machines

I have the host machine LAN Connected to my net and i have my other machine using the wifi of my net

THe last two agents SR_SHARDMANAGER andSR_GAMESEVER

gets and fatal error that says DB Connection failed

and i know sometimes you get fatal lines but it still works but i'm pretty sure it isn't suppose to say DB Connection Failed since DB is database. and i have studio express 2008 r2 opened so the database must be connected right.

so what am i doing wrong

check iis for shardmanager and ini files too
and for gameserver check the ini files :)

IIS files where would i go and find this and when i do what all do i do

IIS is already inside windows but you just have to activate it. Go to your configuration panel -> Programs you should now see a list of your installed programs. At the left sidebar you should see an option called add/remove windows programs/features.

Once you pressed that button you'll see a tiny window and search for Internet Information Services. Enable the checkbox also you'll have to enable a few other things which aren't enabled by default. press the + icon in front of Internet Information Services. Then expand World Wide Web-services. Then expand the 4th item not sure what it's called in english. Enable all those features (ASP, ASP.net, CGI ect ect.).

I don't know which one of those you'll actually need but I couldn't get it to work without it. Now follow the guide to config the "billing server"

I keep getting connection to DB Failed on SR_ SHARD and GameSever . . . . did everything you said . . . i'll record it and upload it

Well guys i constantly keep getting DB Connection failed . . . i do not know what i'm doing wrong

Exactly i have this laptop hooked up to my laptop. Does having two different databases affect it? like i have 2005 and 2008 should uninstall one? or something? and like should i try changing the my SHARD_INIT to a different bak up file such as a default one for 110 cap or something.

what all would affect this
