hello every1
I have a quick question, is here any way to lock the server.dat file and CID loader files so no one can see my ip adress or change the info?
Btw this is all in my co client for those who don't know.
Thanks for any ideas =P

I think so, i remember somewhere about being able to encrypt any file with a password with one program, and then i've heard another that simply locks the file and gives you a "can not access file" message.

not really sure if memory serves me right, but eh. Also cant you encrypt about any file with the right approach O_o? (I dont know know hence the question mark)

Use a no-ip.

And you can't encrypt the server.dat outside the client, without having the client decrypt it at runtime.
And if someone could actually use your IP for something malicious, chances are they know of many other ways than just looking in server.dat to find your IP.

This is why, and please note, when you portforward, please dont disable the security <_< just disable the block anon. ips =Þ

also this is also why i stated hamachi = a bit safer... not that MUCH but indeed safer =3
