What to Do:


Open the ports 9958 and 9960 on your router. Then, turn off Windows Firewall and any other Firewall you have open on the computer your going to be hosting it on.


How to turn off Windows Firewall:


Go Start>Control Panel>Windows Firewall then choose "Off (Not recommended)" once you have all the above done you are ready to download Appserv.


What to Do:


Install Appserv. Make your user name localhost and your password any thing. Make sure you remember the password. Now Appserv is installed, its time to install Navicat 8. Once you got Navicat 8 installed extract PowerSource. Also don't forget to extract the client from the archive.


Putting the Source into Mysql:


Open Navicat 8 up. Choose trial. Now it looks a little confusing but make sure you read this part closely if you do so you will get it done correctly. Now on the left side of Navicat 8 there will be a button that says "Connection" click that. Now a window should be open. Ok you only have to fill out 1 thing at this part. Put the same password in as you did while you were installing Appserv. Once you put your password in click "OK" once you got that done right click on "localhost" it should be on the left side in Navicat 8. Once you rightclick on "localhost" click "New Database" name is coproj and for "Character Set" choose "utf8 -- UTF-8 Unicode". And in "Collation" choose "utf8_general_ci" then click "OK". Now its time to put the Source in Mysql. Right click on "coproj" and choose "executebatch" for "File:" choose database.sql you can find it in this folder. C:\Documents and Settings\Hunter\Desktop\PowerSource CO once you put database.sql in there click close not start. Once thats done the Database should be in Mysql.


Making and account:


Now its time make and account. Keep Navicat 8 open your going to need it. In Navicat 8 on the left side Click localhost>coproj>tables then on the right side in the white box click Accounts. Choose your AccountID leave the password blank because the first password you login with is your password forever. In "Login Type" type 2. Type in status "8" for GM or PM and "7" for player. Now click the little check mark at the bottom of the Table. Then close it. Now your done with that part.


Editing Files:


Ok now it is time to edit some files so you and other people can connect to your server. Open up C:\Documents and Settings\Hunter\Desktop\PowerSource CO\COServerProject1\COServerProject\bin\Debug\Conf ig.ini and make it look like this.

Once you fill that out save it. Now in your Client folder. Open up server.dat and make it look like this.

Once you fill it out save it and close it. Ok this is the last thing you need to edit in the this Guide. Open CIDServer.dat and make it look like this.

Turning the Server ON:


Ok this is the last bit of the Guide. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\Hunter\Desktop\PowerSource CO\COServerProject1\COServerProject\bin\Debug and open PowerSourceCO and then keep it open. You need that open for others and yourself to play the server. So keep that open now go to your client and open up CIDLoader. Thats what you need to open up each time you want to play the server. Use your login you made to logon the server. And use any password. Now you should login if you didn't you did some thing wrong.

whear do you see "Logon type" check for the fist loing is "2" and later change to "1"


our you IP server are bad...

try to change all IPs too 127.0.0.1

When i log onto the client it stays at the connecting to account server... please wait a moment. Any idea why? and how i cant fix it?

I think maybe my problem is that i dont know how to open the ports a little helpw ould be appericated. thanks

mmmm i gone to upload some client....
in the client are all files exept the date.wdf and c3.wdf ... you copy it files from outher client and can get the client 5017 more easy :D

im getting error all the time when i try and login.

i just get: connecting failed due to server maintainence or internet congestion, please try again.

ive turned my firewall off and tried it and still wouldnt connect. i have powersource co open and i have used the CIDLoader to open the client. its still not working.

ive changed all the ips from my external ip: 79.x.x.x to my internal one 192.x.x.x and ive also put 127.0.0.1 and none of them still work. what is going on?

you can get yor ip from:

and renomber in the client you need edit only the CIDServer.dat
you see for example:
