Hi all,

I have got my source(trinity based) working on 5622. Now if you look at the picture the buttons are not where they should be, so my question is where can i manage the buttons of the GUI?
Thnx

The source is still 5525 but i run it on a 5622 client. It works fine except for the GUI. Sure it have not all features like achievements ect.. but it runs fine.

you do understand that a 5525 patch source cant run on a 5622 client ...?

Oh well I just downloaded the newest conquer client put a loader on it and changed the conquer.exe, roleview and gamedata with a 5525 client one and i just login with a 5525 source xD

Edit: 2slam discovered Conquer.exe is responsible for the new Gui.

So your effectively running a 5525 client then, as the conquer.exe is version 5525....

however if conquer works like every other TQ spawned game, there are other files that control the GUI

EO for example is "ani/Control.ani" "ini/GUI.ini" just to name a couple. There are from memory atleast 10+ files that influence the entire GUI itself.

@OP, perhaps if you want to run a 5525 client, use a 5525 client, not a patched one...

Of course if you want just the appearance (but not the functionality if there are new additions to the GUI) then this would work fine, however you are still running version 5525, and the changes would literally have to just be appearance alterations.

That's what happens when you mix an old client with new libraries and content formats, you get garbage.

I think this thread can be closed now.
