howto make it work:

at this time i'm testing the game on 51mt2

i ask the guy from longju3 to help me - let's wait for him...

i'd like to help people from other countries to make it work

i hope developers from this forum join me

you will need some things to start:

for example if you're from italy, you'll need

a old version of metin2 compatible with mt2_20080923 (chinese)

if you're from portugal you can use Metin2_20080221

- install python 2.6.1

- install ollydbg and get the uhooker_v1.3 plugin (also use StrongOD plugin)

- rename metin2.bin to metin.exe (you'll use ollydbg to change the ip address)

- call olydbg, load metin2.exe use the uhooker plugin to load change_connect script, press f9 in ollydbg to start the game

- the change_connect script files must be in the ollydbg main folder

i'm working on the 'change_connect' script for changing ip address of metin2.exe
you can use it to connect to 51mt2 ip address
you'll need to use this ip: '59.60.21.142'
and 2 ports (first use 11002, them use 13000)
you need to type these ip addreses in the python windows (looks like msdos window)
only need to type it 2 times:
- first type 59.60.21.142 and port 11002
- them type 59.60.21.142 and port 13000
the python window will keep asking to type more ip addresses - ignore it - the game should connect to server just fine

this will allow you to play the game in the language of your client

i think the server as files in chinese for the quests and game chars
this mean that you will get quests in chinese...
but everything else works ok

i'm using multihack 1.84 - nice to have teleport again :)
but i think we need a new version for metin.exe

this will be enought for start playing

i've add the connect script i'm using
it only works for the portuguese client
to use it you must allways connect to channel 3 to play

i'd like to make this work for other countries

for goodmt2 server use 125.91.15.208

ICh bin gerade dabei, den Deutschen oder Englischen Client zu connecten... Hier aktuelle Ergebnisse (ich editiere immer wieder dazu):

Wenn es funktioniert, sage ich es euch sofort ;)

Ich reporte es auch mal kurz, ist iwie in der falschen Section... gehört doch nach Guides oder PServer section...

Edit: Hätte ich fast vergessen... wenn ihr es auch testen wollt müsst ihr mit Torkas connecten das er die andere IP nimmt^^

its simple
search for these two adresses (Value Type: text)
replace with (Longju3 IP)
now must search for port (Value Type: 4byte)
replace with
Done. Connect to free kingdom CH13

this is great news

i think you can change some values using ce

for instance (i'll try this on pt server):

rename CH1 to 5imt2
rename CH2 to 9imt2
rename cH3 to goodmt2

this will allow to make a script where the user can choose the server to play
i think all chinese servers only have 1 channel to play


what do you think?
