Moderator Aplication for 9Dragons Section

Hello everybody.
My name is Alex and this is my 9Dragons Section Moderator application.

• Age: I have 16 years old.
• What is the reason for your application?

-The main reason for being a moderator on 9Dragons Section is spamming/flaming and offtopicing.
-Second one , in 9Dragons Section there isn't any moderator or someone (global moderator , admin) who looks at section. It's a disaster.

• Experience with the subject: (What experience do you have with MMOs and the game or the subject in particular? How long have you been dealing with the subject?):

-Well I play this game since i was 10 ,so I play it for 6 years and it's totally fun to play (never get tired of)
-I do know how to play MMOs.
-I can help new players , explaining how to build their chars , what weaps to use and another MMO stuffs.

• Are you mentally prepared and fitting for such a position? (How do you see yourself? Can you handle questions which seem to be stupid? How about your knowledge of people in general?)

- I see myself prepared to handle persons how are new to a forum and to a game.
- I can handle "stupid" questions and I would answer to them (answer doesn't mean telling them that they're faggots , stupids , noobs and other insults) or post a link to a tutorial (if exist on epvp).
- I met a lot of people ( sad , happy , nervous , angry , silly ) and I could handle them talking calm , giving them advices (if needed). I think that I have a good knowledge about people in general.

• Experience as a moderator (If existing: How long have you been moderator and what was the subject?):

-Sadly I don't have experience in moderating but I learn new things fast.

Your applications seems good, I really don't have an answer as I haven't checked over your posts to see how active you are and/or how helpful you have been, will be checking on that to give you my answer

I know him some time, and I know he is one of the best people in 9D section. He was very active (last time I didn't check forum, then idk he's active now)... And I think we really need some mod.

I've been checking the section and I guess a mod isn't really needed. The activity there is pretty low, which is the reason for my decision.

Well, since I did my post I was checking posts, and constantly reading through the 9D section, but as Xeemy said, there isn't much activity on the section to require a moderator, with you as a guardian it seems to be enough, I do see it is a little bit messy but nothing to worry that much about.

If the section needed a moderator my answer would be yes, yet I do not see a need for a moderator in that section

I'm pretty much for a moderator on that Section.

In my opinion it's getting too messy and to much similiar Topics are being made.

Well considering our previous moderator was actually a good programmer and contributed guides and actual hacks for some versions of 9D, having bla-bla-bla as a moderator would be a step down. So nay.

When electing a new moderator you should not compare with an old moderator, as the moderator position is not something that needs programming/hacking skills, that is a plus though, but by having knowledge about the game, and, in the case that there is some development for servers, that you know something about it; but the fact that someone doesn't know about programming or hacking doesn't take out the possibility of them being hired as a moderator.

As Heatz said,comparing an old mod with a new one is wrong,especially when you haven't even seen the new mod performing his/her duty.So what if the maybe-soon-to-be new mod lacks the programming skills that made the old mod "famous"? For all we know bla-bla-bla could be better at doing something else,something the old mod couldn't;like helping newbs in a more professional manner or solving God knows what issues they may experience without lashing at them for being to dumb to understand how a program works..Also,contributing with guides or fixes or whatever is possible by everyone not just by "tech geeks"-no offense.

On the topic regarding "the forum not needing a mod" issue; I agree,the forum is indeed not very populated but on the other hand it's not "dead" either.The few dozen members that do visit that forum could use a tidier environment.That forum is filled with out-dated,patched guides/hacks.People are complaining on hack related threads even tho' the first post states clearly that the hack no longer works or has been patched/fixed/whatever.

So yeah..:mofo:..i support bla-bla-bla.

I think that he was/is a programmer and knew/know a lot.
I'm trying to learn C++ ,VB etc. Isn't easy but at least I try.

bla-bla- ..... Serioulsy We Need a Mod , and i dont see why there is no 9Dragons section although 9Dragons is more popular than " Metin" ..
