Open Source Project: SREmu

12/26/2008 17:43 clearscreen#1
I am just making this topic to bring your attention to recent development at SREmu.
SREmu has gone from a VB6 project to an open-source C++ project hosted on SourceForge.

At the moment I am the only one working on it, but I would like to see it a community driven project. To clarify: I'm not looking for a team, I'm looking for knowledgable people that code in C++, preferably with some experience with x86 assembler, packet logging / parsing, subversion, visual studio, etc.

About the current status of the emulator:
- SREmu is released under the GNU Public License. Keep this in mind when you decide to contribute.
- Subversion on sourceforge is up and running, you can grab the latest revision right now.
- It must be noted that not a lot of functionality is coded in yet, at this current writing, it has a functional loginserver, character listing / creation / deletion.
- Database being used is MySQL and DB library is MySQL++

You can find our sourceforge page here:

Tbh, why would they make a so called private server in the name of Epvp, it would only mess up their status. So think before you type in the future.

Esro > All

*bump*

Movement & stats working. Unfortunately there have been no contributions from the community other than a couple of packet logs from 1 person.

Where are those C++ coders?!
