Conquer and Ubuntu

I have installed Ubuntu again, because I seem to have some problems with all windows distributions.

I`m trying to play CO on Ubuntu now (ver7.10 and newest CO client). I installed WINE, installed the MS core fonts in Ubuntu, then ran CO, it starts the Launcher, then the Trojan Checker, and here it stops. The Trojan Checker won`t even drop out it`s message.

How could I make it run under Ubuntu?

Cheers,

CO has some weird check with the system date, try turning the date back a little... not sure if it'll help, but this is one issue that always occurs for me (even on windows)

This is just an idea, what about using virtualbox?
You can install winxp on a virtual disc and use it from linux.

I really don't know if it will run slow, that's why is just an idea.

Delete the stupid "Trojan Finder shit" folder, see what happens.

Wine should work with it.

Runs fine on WINE with PlayOnLinux, although it crashes just like it did on Windows. My video card is an Intel one and CO doesn`t seem to like it.

Meh, I should find an other game
