New Private Servers Not Working.

So, i have a problem with the newer private servers, by new i mean pirate/monk.

I first noticed it when i tried using the albetros source, when i tried to log in, the client would fully close without a error, i even had the creator teamviewer the problem and he couldnt figure it out.

More recently, i have tried downloading and playing several private servers, all with this same issue, that when i log in, the client closes instantly without an error.

Older private servers like shadowco dont give me this problem, and the official conquer online client works also.

Now too things i have tried.

ALL versions of conquerloader.
Flash player and direct x updated.
Net framework 4.0 (newest version)
Uninstall and reinstall's
Re-downloads.
Clean clients.
Uninstall, restart comp, reinstall.
Manual delete then reinstall.

Any help with this really would be appreciated.

I can safely say I've never team viewered for you.

If the client crashes then you're using an invalid ip simple as that. Not my fault if ppl don't follow instructions.

you did teamview for me :P you were the reason i downloaded teamviewer, i still have your private message in my inbox lol

You said you had no clue and could never replicate the issue, anyway, any help?

and you checked all that info, you went through all of it xD so, yeah.

Sorry I can't be of more use... that's a very odd problem that I haven't experienced before so I can't offer much advice. As I said though it's definitely an issue with the loader/client and not the server it sounds like seeing as it's crashing out entirely."

I went through the loader ip's several times, this has happened for servers that have hundreds of players online and dont use conquer loader also, not just sources, if i remember correctly when i had pro check why i couldnt load the albetros source he went through my loader configs also, and they were set up alright.

Lots of things can crash the client. Check your client folder, in the main folder (same as the Conquer.exe) and you will see files with names like "sys 6-10.log". Open them in notepad, and you will find the debug output of most errors that the Conquer client ran into. It may be hard to interpret at times, but it can be quite useful if you understand TQ's method names and such (check the EO source, for example.)

I only have one private server installed atm (the last one i tried, Troyco) it has no files like that in the main directory, i have logs in the debug section, but nothing otherwise. If you would like i could upload a video too youtube showing you exactly what happens and the contents of the folder, but other then that im pretty pissed that this random issue stops me from playing any newer private servers.

^ thats a video of it, does that for albetros, troyco, any relatively new version of co, but not offical co or older versions, which is why i find it weird

According to your client logs, socket init failed. Are you running the client as an administrator and/or adding a firewall/antivirus exception for it?
06/11/2012 02:47 zeons3#13
yes too the first, too the second i uninstalled all my firewalls, i dont have one running as far as im aware.

Just re-checked that, windows firewall was off, no other firewall is installed, i turned windows firewall on and added a exception, i then went into my modem and checked its firewall which is also off, so its not that

Alrighty. Mind posting both the IP from your source, and the IP from your client?
06/11/2012 03:43 zeons3#15
I'm not using a source atm, i am using a pre-made client, which makes my head spin because of the fact the other 100 people online downloaded the same client, so with that reasoning isnt it weird if its just a wrong ip?

Anyway, here's what was in the Loaderset.ini

[Loader]
IPAddress=188.165.15.41
LoginPort=3215
GamePort=4215
Website=http://www.troy-co.com
Force=TRUE

When i was using albetros, if i remember correctly it came with a program that auto edits the ip settings for easy editing, ConfigurationCreator.exe which pro also went through with me via tv

wait holy cr*p are you justins girlfriend? xD
