CRC - someone explain please

I've been off 2Moons for quite a while but now I think i am gonna start playing(and hacking) again;). So, after 30 min of forum browsing I learn that a way to bypass the crc check has been made public. Also I learn about the GG killer. Ok so I download the crc thing.

My main question is: What is the crc folder present in the given bypass supposed to do?

There are csv files present inside the folder, can they be used to any advantage?

(I tried to search but the acronym crc is too small )

So CRC was made in order to allow us(hackers) to use different hacks. Crc let's u use whatever hacks u made, when u edited data.pac 04.

A more detailed reply anyone? I know the dekaron_no_crc is a edited version of dekaron.exe which has crc removed/bypassed and ggk is used to allow loading the edited executable.
But what is the CRC folder supposed to do included in the rar file (yeah i know you place it in the bin folder).

The No-CRC is a modified executable just as you said. The modification is that the main executable will load the files checked by CRC from the CRC folder instead of loading them from the packfile. So the CRC will check the files in the CRC folder (that's why they must remain unedited) but load the files for the game from the packfile.

Thanks for the reply. That solves the question.

By the way we can still use the csv files to find the monster number etc. right?

^Yes, you can find the monster number by using csv files. Not just monster, but also other stuff like skills, map and etc.

But if you edit the *.csv file in the CRC folder, it won't work. Edit it manually through WinHex or any other hex editor.
