MySQL

So, i followed a guide to make my server. I made one, but was on a pc with xp, and now i use a laptop, with a router/modem wireless, and dont work anymore. My problem is when i try to create a connection on navicat, i tryed diferent ip's, but says "Cant connect to MySQL server on *ip*". What ip do i use?

use 127.0.0.1 if u want it on ur pc only (u will be the only one to play there),use hamachi ip if u want others to play there using hamachi network or use ur pc's ip if u want to make ur server online (u have to open some ports to make it online )and modify the files with the ip u will finally use and be careful to use navicat on the databases u want also modify ur my.ini file at mysqladmin.exe If i helped ya plz hit the thanx button.Last but not least use the password and the name u used on ur mysqladmin

Well now i can acces tables and all that on navicat. But, first i run accserver. Then when trying to run msgserver, windows say that he dont find it, or maybee i dont have admin rights (even lauching msgserver in "admin mode")...

follow the 4 clicks 'n' go guide and replace the server files with the files that u can find there and tell me again if u dont have success

I have all files on place, everything ok. Only need run accserver/msgserver/accserver. But msgserver dont want run, windows dont let me open it.

yeah so i recommended u to download the other files it will be better for u just have a look
replace the old files with the new ones and try again u will have success are u running it on vista???

run them as administrator you should no have any single error, check your ini files again and shell.dat also, but if you use my release then shell.dat is already edited to 127.0.0.1

maybe he has to modify the .cfg files bro (teo can u log in msn and give me a lil help with the site in teamviewer????)

So with that link msgserver works. Now other problem lol. When its verifying acc info, client close.

Srry for double post. Just help fix that lil problem. Client close when logging in. Even if i put a acc that doesnt exit, in spite of user:test/pass:test, it says verifying acc info, then close.

incorrect client version dude make sure your running the right client for your server

what client version do u need???
