Dat files

This would be my first thread and i would like to discuss about those dat files in the Co folder

Has anyone wondered how the .dat files works and is there anyway to change the codes to texts?I tried google but nothing helped,Those files are like the gears to make conquer work, things they sell, chance of drops, etc..

So if they're changed they might have an effect in co - server side

Like changing the amount of gold needed to buy a lv 120 normal item to 1 then sell it back for 30k,And maybe change the random chance to unrandom or maybe make the server think mets as dbs and change them into real cps, maybe if the .dat files are decoded, might have a way to actually figure out how the system works? This might sound crazy but maybe its worth discussing about, or maybe its tried before too

modifying the .dat files is very simple, and even if u change the value of a
item, say tc scroll u change its price to 50 silvers, its still only client side,
the server still checks to c if u have 200 silvers n removes 200 silvers.

u cant change mets to dbs, they have assign item id numbers, u can though
put dbs n a reg shop but the game wont let u buy them

if tq was this dum alot of us would b rich as hell

Yes, this was attempted long ago, but only gave client side gains, nothing server side is controlled by anything on your pc.
