Operating system not found

When I start up my laptop I get an error which is "Operating system not found", I can't even use Safe Mode. I downloaded Windows 7 Boot on a usb and I started it and got to the "System Recovery Options", clicked on "Command Prompt and did the following.

bootrec /ScanOs
Successfully scanned windows installations.
Total identified Windows Installations: 0
[1] C:\Windows
The operation completed succesfully

bootrec /RebuildBCD
Total identified Windows Installations: 0
Operation completed successfully
----------------------------
bootrec /fixmbr

Help? :')

reinstall windows, the bootrecord seems to be deleted, if deleted there is nothing to rebuild, so the easiest way would be reinstall the OS

I tried reinstalling Windows 7 but no use, it keeps on shutting down at the "Restart" part.

Check your Hardware.

So, my computer keeps shutting down instead of restarting at the last step "Completing installation".....

Are you sure that your HDD is working correct? Did you try to install the OS on another Harddrive and does it work to plug it in at another computer? Will it get installed correctly and are you able to place files on it?

This is my brother's laptop, he deleted all the partitions and now I'm left with 300 GB of unallocated data. I ran the Windows 7 Installation and clicked on "Create/New" and it gave me one "System Reserved" disk and one "C:\" disk, after that I clicked on C:\ and starting installing windows 7 on it and when it reaches the last part, as I said before, it shuts down.
