Updater Problem

Hello i used to own a private server and used to noe all about this stuff and yeah i havent been on for a while and forgot and i decideded to remake a private server and keep geting this error can any body help me i would really appreciate the help :)

Question was asked by someone just a couple of days ago.
Check where/how your uploading your patch files.
Check how your making the patch files.
Check the address in the updater.ini is right.

I have the same problem, when edit the test_ip (patch address)

maybe forgetting the / at the end of the address. (also, there is 3 addresses in updater if i remember right, make sure your changing the right one.)

yes i noe it works untill i change the test_ip

i keep geting this problem can somebody help me on skype like make the updater for me or something? add my skype b.james1997 please and help me if you dont mind :)

you don't understand the thread,
the problem is editing the updater.exe
and isn't making the patch

I'm pretty sure in that tutorial there is a section (middle - bottom of post) that shows how to edit the actual updater. So in this case he was right to say "read it carefully" So instead of jumping down someone's throat for a correct post, check before you do it next time. George St Pierre

for anyone's updater issues if you do not have this file and you are using webs
navbar.inc then you need to re make a new webs.com website if that is missing or someone attacked the updating file directory that will be the major issue ;) good luck if so
