VMWare / Proxy

Hi, I want to play the source game garrys mod, on a vm as well as my main computer. Its for a rp server.

Basicly I want to connect to the server twice from one computer, but they may ban me so i want a proxy to cover one of me up?

Is it possible for the virtual machine to be entirely on proxy connection. I was going to be using windows xp mode as the vm.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

This isnt the right section, but I'll answer to youre question.
Its is possible, you can run another proxy on each computer.

I meant on the same computer,
E.g I have steam/gmod running then under virtual box I want windows xp mode with another steam account to join the same server but under a proxy so I wont get banned from the server.

On each virtual box you have to run the proxy.

Do you suggest any free software? I am very excited to do this but don't have much knowledge on proxy. I try googling but nothing promising seams to appear. Also I would be using a free proxy for it so what to do ?

You can run any proxy. Russian proxys are nice and easy to find.

I'm sorry I meant how would this work with a game, not a browser game, you know a steam game? Surely this cant be done in the control panel lan settings?

I could use Tor? But does it do the proxy for all applications or just the browser ??

As long as the proxy is a programme it does the proxy for !all applications".
You have to install and run the proxy on each virtual box :)

How though? This is what i want to know. Right now I've just setup a new windows xp in Virtual Box, I am about to install the game client, but before that I'd like to know exaclty how the machine will use a proxy.

Basicly I just want that virtual machine to be using a different IP adress when I play the game. The game is called Garrys Mod, which is a steam game. So it uses a client as well but I'm not sure if that is important.

Please can you tell me software that can do this?
