64 Bit Vista

Hey all,

Decided to pop back in to see how things are going in kal (especially with the upcomming character). Unfortunately, after having tried to run the kalonline setup on my 64bit vista, I always ended up with a "Program is not responding".

I've looked up into the problem and saw how in the past there was a fix to make the engine.exe work for vista.

Before i ask for any guides or instructions, I would like to know if it is actually possible to run kalonline on my 64 bit vista sytem (if there is any way, please consider that as possible) ?

at me it shows alltime if i install int kalonline "is working only with vista 32 not 64" :S

Yeah KalOnline is only supporting 32Bit. Idk how it is on Pservs, and anywhere I saw someone using it on 64..

Hey,

I got also Vista 64bit and i can play every Game i want, just do right click and check the compatibilty and change it to Windows Xp and use as a Admin ^^. Than normally it has to work! :)

Thank you for the fast replies everyone, nothing less to expect from this forums community ;)

Scarface i tried your method and unfortunately the client still froze and gave me a "setup.exe is not answering".

Could maybe me downloading a unpacked setup.exe work? like that i would have to manually install the game rather than the setup doing it.

i think there are much thread about 64bit vista open, especially on kalhq.com, maybe u should take a look there ...

Fixed the problem :) the client from download A and B don't work for some reason (not up to date i guess), however when i downloaded the client by the 9 mini patches the instalation was smooth :p

Anyways thanks for the answers, those who helped!

i installed kal 64 bit vista no problems works all fine here
