Question about Resi and Skill Block

04/26/2012 20:21 BlackRaven86#1
Hi all

I have one important Question about the Resistance and Skill Block.

How everybody know the max is 80% Resi and SB right?!
Why most of people have over 80% Resi and SB (with Buffs)?
If im right its only good for PvP if someone get debuff right?
For exapmle: Resi (with Buff) = 100% now Debuff comes with -20% Resi = 80% Resi right ?!

And how it looks with PvE.
Its enough to have max 80% Resi and SB (with Buffs) or its better to have more % ?!

Other Question: What does Agility and Wisdome all do?

Thats all
Hope for Help :)

80% is not max. u can still get more but it is not shown in the Character Info Panel. as u reach 80% the count stops at that but your defense increase even tho its only says 80%.

Agility = additional Dmg for Casters (Archer, Hunter, Ranger)
Intelligence = Additional Dmg for Magicians (Mage, Sorc, Elem)
Strenght = Additional Dmg for Warriors (Knight, Zerk, Swash)

Wisdom is basically just additional MP(Mana points)

So, by your logic - if you had over 100% SB, no normal skill would EVER land on you?

You might ague that maybe you get debuffed and then a skill lands on you because of that, but isn't the debuff a skill effect in the first place?

I do believe that the 80% limit IS the limit, but that you can have more than that up your sleeve to decrease the effect of debuffs that DO land.

If you managed 100% SB/Block/Ele resists/Ice-Light-Poison resists/Resist, well you would not suffer ANY damage other than Crits, but this is not the case.

Damage conversion is capped as well. If it was not, 100%+ conversion would be bizarre :)

NB: Back in the goodold/bad old days of unique glitching by mail, you could do something like that by glitching 2 blodes and a Zucker to achieve massive damage conversion. My ele (pre-AOE Stun days) could round up huge bunches of Lightning or Poison mobs and just stand there and tank them, while I sometimes had to wander away to make coffee or answer the phone. The mobs would actually heal the Ele with attacks :) No party buffs required.

For sb and resi I also do believe that 80% is the cap, tho I must say that 100% resi or 80% resi is a difference, or it's in my head idk
but it seems to look like when i have 107% resi I pull better then at 83%

I might be wrong, but it at least looks like it

In the end no one except the webzen coders will know, so this can be a discussion without end :p

All the cap of 80% is just for skills and damage any debuffs that reduce this go from the full figure which is normaly way above 80, so it's always best to get as much res and sb as you can

I KNOW you failed.

Think on the subject with your head on next time. The only char that takes no damage at all is a Knight doing what Knights do, and they don't need 100% everything to do it. They just spam, and even that has been reduced lately.

I guarentee that if you had a char in front of mine that had 100% SB, some of my skills will still get through. Clearly not 100% after all.

3 agi + 3 str give archer classes +1 dmg,
6 str give warrior classes +1 dmg

Additional, Agi takes influence at dodge/evade and your accuracy. (also on players/mobs that have a higher level then you)

Wisdom simply gives you some mana.

1 Str was around 8-12 HP as far as I remember, so Wisdom may have the same values.
