VB.NET - Let`s discuss it!

Okay, so as it was proven, a server can be made in VB.NET.

But if VB.NET doesn`t support pointers, what can be used for the same reason?

I think that this can be discussed a lot, so, let`s start

Why? no offense but vb.net >< not so good for this stuff.

A source in VB.net would only be an experiment. We all know that C++ would of been the best language to start conquer in, with the release of COEMU v1 opensource people just carried on from there, well there was UCCO ofc before coemu. However C# isnt to bad =P, people were proved wrong about C# =D, VC++ ftw. XD

My opinion anyone can make a server. Just beacuse its in vb.net dont make it bad server. If u are a great coder u can make it work perfect. If not then u just have to keep trying. El i recommend rethinking before u posting this is kinda a wrothless post. What hybrid told u , u could have googled and found out.

And I searched for a method that I can include C# pointers in VB.NET, and found it, but haven`t found an alternate way for them.

As I said in the previous post, there's no reason to do a complete rewrite in VB.Net. You can call existing C# code from VB.Net, so it would be pointless to re-implement it. The same goes not just for the parts where you're using pointers, but all the existing code. What needs doing is organising what you already have into independent modules, and have a state where you can write independent VB.Net modules. They should be compatible both ways, so if you write, for example, a pathfinding algorithm in VB, people should also be able to use that from C#.

However, organisation isn't something found in large portions around here. The fact that you're trying to discuss something is a bonus, because nobody else seems to collaborate. However, you're discussing the wrong topic. You should be discussing how to integrate the existing code into a VB.Net project, not rewriting anything.

lol, ure so full of bs prince... how long have i known u now...? like 2 yrs...? and all of those 2 yrs, uve been a lying, arrogant moron, who has always claimed to be such a 'pro' coder for the last 2 yrs that ive known u, alltho everytime ive asked u 2 proove it, u always make up an exuse, so ure bs about 'having a fully working vb.net source' is so full of bolony lol
