I think that dispite the leechers (the world is full of them)... We/I need to
share informations in order to let this project grow fast.

And as glandu2 all I will share/release with be done in respect of the previous owner and for the glad of knowledge. And will stay on my PC (not gonna sell anything)...

I like Rappelz as a game, and all I would like to obtain is the knowlegde to freely play with its files and if it will be possible to customize its contents.

dragonunpacker is not able to extract all files, as many of them are encrypted in data.00x, it will only extract some .dds, .tga and maybe other files

my unpacker is a plugin to use with totalcommander

totalcommander is a file explorer like windows one but support opening packed files like zip files. My plugin enable totalcommander opening data.000 (and data.00x)

The plugin file is with the wcx extention, use a plugin manager like Vic Plugin manager or use the plugin tab of the configuration menu of TC

Upload the 8.1 KTS Client...this would be a real help for some people...but this it's useless cause everyone can do it with pyroks dumper...and xijezus re...and the pets don't have skills can't be tamed etc...tamed pets without skills wow don't talk about devs every n00b can do this ;)

But perhaps it will help to farm a few thanks xD

As far as i know you have to update it after downloading. And some have problems with flyvpn.

someone knows the address of the patch server ? i am sure the patch server is the server that host the two dl link i provided, and so doesn't accept only korean ips

but the patch file list provider server filters ips :(

someone has the launcher.exe from the kts client ? don't want to download 2,2gb for just a 1mb file :x

(or if someone knows the query made by the launcher instead ... (the query is for example for rappelz FR: "QUERY RZ_FR 0\x0A", i expected something like "QUERY RZ_KR 0\x0A" but didn't work)

if the updated files (that the launcher download) or downloadable from a non-ip address, flyvpn is not needed to do the update :)

i already know for the french server, but i want this for the kts ^^, and for a live server, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] is handy as it show all directories :) (official patch server of rappelz SEA)

So i have been playing with editing the files, having a blast.

I changed the first few loading pages before the login page and changed the login page to a troll face. Next step is to replace all the loading screens. I thought about making a porno edition, replace the sounds with porn sounds and replace all the loading screens with porn lol.

I tried to manually edit the db_string(ascii).rdb, i could view the txt i need to edit but once i edit and save it the client wont launch with it. Any ideas on a good program to edit the language files?

Got another weird one, im sure ill figure it out tho. The small videos that play, like Nflavor that comes up on the KTS at the beginning, when played in vlc is upside down and backwards. I'm sure i can replace it but i need to flip the new video the same way lol.

the video problem is more a video codec problem, i experienced the same problem with some CamStudio codecs (playing with VLC was B&W/reversed/with scanlines/maybe other weird things depending on which codec i used with camstudio )

for the rdb files, they are not text files, only binary, and if your replaced string has not the exact same length as the old one, rappelz will not load it correctly, use some rdb tools flying around on epvp

I had read somewhere that .rdb could be changed to .tsv and opened with excel, that borked it to tho sadly. I'll see if i can find that rdb editor u were talking about lol.
