"Thanks"

As you all know i recently started becoming active in elite pvp forums. I see these "Thanks" buttons but what are they for? Why do users have their signature say "Please press thanks" I don't understand.

Hmmmmm....alright then its just that i find it very irritating how users have these annoying signatures telling users to say thanks...

l0l..u maybe forgot to press thanks after your question answer..that y they put signature to press thanks..
