Best scam, works 99% of the time

kk so first get like a good item worth atleast maybe cupple dbs or sumtin. like for example an elite hat with a soc. then try selling it at market. ppl will trade u 2 look at it and stuff, put in the hat just 2 show em, then they will get their items and stuff to trade u, get a reg elite hat with NO SOC, and then trade em, usually ppl wont chek the hat again, and u both push ok when u have the elite hat no soc in it and he has the dbs, money or w/e in the trade box. there u go! rich rich rich. usually say ur selling the item for like cheap, and ppl will b in such a hurry 2 buy it from u that they wont look at it!!! xD

u can also do this with met scrolls. say sellin met scroll for cheap price, then put in like an archery ticket/etc. bcuz it looks like it :]

thats old dude ... almost everone is aware of that now ... has a very low chance to of working

not really that old.....and it doesn't have a low chance of workin..I have OCD, and it almost worked on me. if i didn't have ocd, i wudn't have cheked the trade box and saw it was a diff. item...and i wud have gotten scammed.....Not alot of ppl on conquer have ocd...so they r vulnerable! xD

This used to be called the trade window scam, and yes, its very, very old.

hehe it work on me 1 time:)) just won magical bottle at loto and a guy show me unique sock boots and he said 1 mil..i put him 1 mil and magical bottle and after that he put no soc unique boots! prety funny

You do know that 99% means 99 people out of 100 would fall for that one? I must be really special then because when I'm trading I actually check twice what I'm buying :rolleyes:

yah..me 2

this scam failed more than 99% of the time, in fact it will work only 1 out of 1000 tries...
and you would have wasted 1 week of time doing it when you can just pick up gold and make the same profit...

it might still work everyone has greed and if you saying your selling a socket item for like 700k most people would not have noticed the change becuase they think they are scamming you lol

ya know, it's easy to sit here reading the forums and say that... but if you were in game and someone in the middle of market said "S> Elite 1Soc boots >RUSH! 4DBs!!!" (normally 5dbs minimum on my server...) and you had the CPs to get 4 DBs on you... you have to think about what it would be like in the heat of the moment, trying to get to him, tell him you are interested, checking the goods, going to the NPC to get the DBs, and coming back to him all before someone else whispers "I'll give you 6 DBs right now..."

It's a completely different story when you are in game vs. when you are browsing the forums at your leisure

but i can also see how people like me, who don't really worry about it (i have a level 130 archer and can farm warriors ... faster than plvling waters to 110 imho ... so all i need is 12 accounts and i could buy super 2soc boots.... on a good day :P

anyway, just thought i'd put in my 2 cents ^_^

Lolz I fell for this one about 2 years ago, and lost 2 DBs, but gained a non soc elite bow :) had to laff my own damn stupid fault.

However once bitten twice shy, I rarely openly trade ppl that stand in market going around randomly trading ppl now, and when they do i tend to press okay straight away.

The amount of noobs that press ok after they show u the equips as well is quite funny. :cool:
