So I recently had to reinstall windows on my computer again and went with xp. I have never encountered a problem while doing so until now. I updated completely with windows update and am on SP3 and all works well except one thing.
When I go to load up a private server and double click on the provided launcher or loader, it simply feeds me this error:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
So before coming here for help, I did what any self respecting person would do. Googled it. I found that the C++ Redistribution had something to do with it, checked if I had it and found I didnt. Well I downloaded a 2005 copy and rebooted, same error. Removed it, rebooted, downloaded the 2010 version and still the same issue.
This is what led me here, I hope someone can help me figure this out. Real co works like a charm so its nothing to do with the game itself, just the loader.

P.S. No advertisement intended with the error, just the client I screened it on. I have no association with the server in any way including I haven't even logged in yet.
