when i unpack data.pak and open it, why are all the .csv files all in symbols when i open it?

which unpacker did you use? why data.pak, isnt it pack.d0x? post a ss I'd like to take a look.

i think he talk about a private server because i know priv servers have just data.pak nothing else
and about ur question post a picture about what u get in the csv so people will know what problem u have , so maybe their answers will help u

I think he is talking about a private server.

I had the same thing happen to me when i unpacked Impulse's .pak file....All i got was alot of .'s and ?'s and #'s and $'s

ya i got a whole bunch of "!@#$%^&*" symbols when i unpacked data.pak with dekaron pack manager by mecrovignian. when i opened the unpacked files with excell or csved, it shows up as random symbols instead of numbers.

I havent tried it yet but try 1 of the different unpackers on this forum.

Another idea i had was to try and use the packer/unpacker for server files and try and use that to unpack the .pak file. But i have not tried that yet either....

Personally i prefer using CE now a days because the cheats can be turned on and off when ever you like to stop them.
