Need help with setting up a private server

Hello people,

I tried to set up a server with the LOTF source and this guide : [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
I struggled a lot with it today and I even got Emme to help me. My computer is running on vista and I tried to instal AppServ to be albe to start it. So I (actually Emme via teamviewer) installed it and went to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
At first we got an error that we couldn't see it because we used teamviewer. And now that I tried it alone, it says the page cannot be displayed. I downloaded version 5.10.6 if I'm not mistaken (AppServ). I hope any of you can lend his/her help.

I'm willing to learn how to set up, code and run a good server.

Just wanted to give you support on this one. I actually spoke to him abit before I decided to help him, because he was unique,he wanted to learn. He downloaded a source for the reason to see how its built up, and by looking at it for two-three days,then starting to learn the basics,might not be a dumb method as it sounds, because when you learn the basics after you looked into an project, then you understand and think : "oh,thats why that was there"

His problem to me was that when I installed Appserver, it did not come up at the Start menu, I mean,it use to come up as MySQL -> Admin kit and all those, but , this one did not. It actually just was Microsoft SQL Server 2008 , which is absolutely not the usual one,this was totally different.

atleast,my point is,help this guy,he's atleast trying,and he is against copy+paste, so he might be good to build a new community here on epvp. Anyways,just wanted to give him my support!
