Sound Driver Help

I have a Compaq sr5210nx
i used a Windows XP Cd a few times and past 2 times it took my sound away, i fixed it the first time (about a year ago) but i have no clue how or what i did can anyone please help me i would really appreciate it!

Take a look at the technical support section.
This is the wrong section for stuff like that.
