[Question] HxD editing?

I read a lot in these forums that I have to edit my ip-address or that from Hamachi in my game.exe to make my server public.

Well, I think I'm really stupid, because I can't do it.
my ip-address is bigger than the 127.0.0.1 (the local one) so wherever I try to put it, I always get the 'check notice board' error.

So what is the secret of editing 127.0.0.1 into a bigger ip without changing the checksum, and messing up my file?

Greetings

There is absolutely no secret is just to type in and overwrite the IP that is on the .exe(s)

When I overwrite the local IP with mine, I get the check notice board error.
However: my public IP in ps_game.ini and serverpatchconfig are the same as my ip address.

so the error must lay within my portsconfiguration then?

My patcher (in my signature) can rewrite the IP base in the game.exe executable for you, if you feel that is the issue.

If you'd rather check your ports, turn all your services on, and go to a site such as: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] to scan ports: 30800 (login) and 30810 (game)

Savvy?

well I used your patcher: which was easy to use. Thank you for that!

so when it still gave the same error, I noticed it has to do with my ports.
I'll update tomorrow how this error shall evolve.
thank you!

EDIT

After I ported (?) my router to the ports (e.g. SQL 1433 - TCP, login 30800 - TCP, game 30810 - TCP ...) with the instructions on [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
I still get the same error.
I'm doubting about everything now. :s

FIXED

so okay it's fixed.
for those who have the same problem:
use rebecca's patcher for the game.exe.

remember to forward your posts and follow the instructions on [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
remember that when you're editing single ports, you have to put them in begin and end number.
Also you can find the right ip-address in cmd.exe with command ipconfig and search Ipv4 -address and that's the ip you want to add when portfarwarding. ^^
