Project [OLD CLIENT]

Hello Community. We all miss the old Darkorbit Client don't we? Well i got an idea , this idea is hard to achive. This maybe has been tryed many times , but i want to try it myself and see if it can actually be done. We all know that bigpoint wants the only the money , and all their games are copys of eacahother with diffrent ship images and other. I miss the old client , really bad and i know some of you guys do to , so we would make a Petition , or something that would bring attetion to everyone, we would spam it everywhere get many petitions and ask bigpoint if they could make a special server just for us that want the old client , if they can hold over 30 servers on their computer ,why not for 1 more !

it would have the old .swf file when you would start the game and the old menu (:

They do have all the files , they keep archives of old the swf's of the games , i know from a friend :D.

I know this can be unachievable but we can try , if somebody can find a petition website or something similiar please post in comments.

We could try spamming it everywhere getting ppl to sign it , on the web petitions it is just a click needed for it , and if it gets many maybe bigpoint will understand that the ppl want the old client , even start sending them messages!

Please no bad and anti comments , because it is not needed (:

I would be easier if some good coder and programmer make their own client than bring BP to make a old client server.

Sry dude but i donīt think it would work.

I know im 80% the idea won't work , but the guy who would make the "private server" would have to pay a big price if he got caught , the server would have to be private really really private.

And the sad thing is nobody has the old client SWF ;(!

But we could make the old client (Same amount of ships lasers ect.) but not the same grapics. Other maps other companys but you also have to shoot aliens to get your stuff ect and then you can fight and go hunting

We donīt need the same ships only the same game principe

Yeah , there is a guy that is making dark legacy it is the same same as darkorbit old client , look it out there is a thread ^^ it is online :P.

sephiroth even said the old client and all files have been scrapped.

one of the reasons for the new client (excluding the money reason) was because when bigpoint bought darkorbit the game was poorly written and there wasnt much that could be changed, so they scrapped it and recreated the client from scratch.

So the old sprites were not acttualy bigpoints , they were when they baught it but ... and who owned darkorbit before bigpoint :O!?

it would be nice to have the old client, i totally agree to ask for it... he can all upload a video on youtube channels asking for it so all can know about this movement

YOu canīt do a "Private Server" of Old Do because you need an emulator and you canīt develop it.
You canīt catch the Packets because bigpoint stopped to run the old swf.
So you canīt get the Packets.
You must develop your own Emulator and Edit the Client Source.
But this is many work.
