Just interesting... Maybe someone tried to run server files on Linux using Wine? Some time ago I successfully ran iBot, which requires .NET framework and library files, it was on Ubuntu I guess.

Nope but I'm pretty sure it won't work, or if it does it will be unstable as hell. Remember Wine is windows EMULATOR.
Also don't compare iBot which makes only 1 connection to the server with the serverfiles, which have to deal with multiple sockets from multiple connections and also have to connect to the DB using OCDB connections (which I doubt Wine can emulate).

Windows server will be only way to make those files work ..

Are you serious bro?

Any program can run windows programs on another Operation system = Emulator for OS .. ( You can run Apple programs on windows / linux on an emulator , Run windows programs on mac / linux on an emulator ) ..

For more information :-
Its basic code which can make frameware ( basic software ) to run all programs which it has inside some .dll from windows ( any windows version ) to able to run under vb.net / c# programs

1. learn english
2. did you read my quote?
3. You won't be able to run any program compiled under windows(using a compiler for windows ofc) under any other os(ofc you can use an emulator, but that's not what I'm talking about). neither can you use DLLs.
Language the program was made in doesn't really matter

im pretty sure that WINE would be able to fully run server on it, due to some libraries that comes from windows directly
i havent tried, but I can say that there is 80% it wont work

i think you can but first you have to get virtual box or VMW for Linux but you will not be able to use all your ram cuze you have to use some of them on you server and other for you vmw or what ever you use
