Basically, an individual sends countinuous "hits" to a specific port, flooding the path and effectively shutting down the server.
Not much you can do as a defence, but depending on the quality of the firewall and the network Admin, you may be able to filter out the attack.

To filter out the attack, you prolly mean iptables, you need Linux, but stupid that we're using Windows. :)Quote:

Yeah, because he has the power to punch people that live hours even days away. Also the developers and xij all put the same amount of work into 7.3. You don't need to name them separate or in some cases call him a god (not you.) The other developers that worked with xij have never get as much as him.Quote:
