They do drop from 7th Birthday.

Anet obviously hasnt just fixed the duping this weekend, but also the droprate. From what I've seen today on trade chat:
Purple: Naga, Oni (tons of them, yes they 100% drop)
Gold: Shiroken, Zhed (a lot offers too)
Green: Vizu (the more presents get opened the more show up)

Thats right, they added 2 common, 2 rare and 1 ultra rare asia pet to the 7th b-day presents. And no, I don't have a screenshot. But it's really obvious by now. Of course it doesn't change the fact, people still try to sell their asias as they don't drop from 7th's at all. I don't blame them, they just play the game the way its (sadly) meant to be played...

And sorry, I didn't mean to devalue the OP's Mini.
