There are all kinds of smarts mine isn't general knowledge its more of the lateral kind, where I can and do observe things and take in the big picture understanding how it works before I try to do anything with it. If I can't figure that out by looking at then I play with it. Lateral thinkers are the fore-founders of basically any major law in physics or any other science along with most of the more ingenious but yet simple inventions so best you not knock me for you may find yourself in need for such help.
btw dropping a kid on their head wont make them any dumber then they will turn out to be. It is called life experience no one is born smart or dumb.
Yes people are born mentally disabled doesn't make them any less smart then you. Especially autistic people.
Did you know there is a condition that makes for an excellent lateral thinker, they see an object like a keyboard and they don't just think buttons and letters they think of all the parts of it including screws and circuitry along with how it works. They make great reverse engineers :D
