New Project - Getting the team!!

Hi!

I failed to find members for the team so I decided to start it on my own.

Note: Page is only available when my computer is on so please try a few times.

Progress:

• Implemented Login page
• Implemented Register page
• Created the database for users (It will need to be changed later on I believe)
• If the user logs in for more than the first time then it takes him to the actual game page.
• If the user logs in for the first time it takes him to character creation page.

Q: Where should I start creating the character creation page? :confused:
Q: How do I link the MySQL tables so that the users and characters tables are connected?

Hi marek I like your motivation but with your knoledge I would definitly not stat of with such a difficult and large project. You will get quickly overwhelemed by so much information that it will posibly fail.

You should maybe start your own little projects and l8tr on when you understand how things are done you can move on to make bigger things. A project that starts like this has small change of surviving you need a solid game design before starting to make any aprt of the game and to make this game design you will have to know the process and fully understand what tecnologies you are going to use.

Hope you dont see this as an insult or discurriging only a little advice!

Thanks for your advice but this is what I've chosen for the project because I want to learn from other people and in practice not theory. And i do not have the opportunity to get someone around me but from here :).

I am also completely aware of the amount of work that needs to be put in the project like this but still I wanna have a go.

Even if there would be possibility of failure my team would continue it as I believe this would be a BOOM game. :)

There is also a way that someone else could lead the project and i would give the ideas and learn along the way!

Maybe if you give more information about the project and a more structed design concept of why you think this will be a boom, you might get more ppl to join your team. The way it seems from what you have wrote is that you got the "best game design eva" (I think everyon who plays games think they have this ultra game design, me included :P) witch is probally a clone of an allready existing game with a few features and want ppl to make it for you while you learn from them. Give more info and maybe you will get a good team to help you need professional level programmers to pull something like this off and with that information you not gonna get the atention of anyone highly skilled :D

Ehh... yup you are right... I will make the designing part first... (i swear that the general idea that i have in mind is not a clone of any existing game (it's with totally custom features)(unless i don't know it)). I made basic drafts so far and it does not even look good (It is actually something else than I actually think) :confused:.

I've started designing it (web based) I am designing it step by step how it would look like and i attached the link to it but it will only work when my computer is on so if it won't work try again later!
